BEFORE YOUR PROJECT

BEGINS

Thank you for choosing Chesapeake Painting Services. Below are some helpful tips and guides when preparing for your upcoming project (s). Please remember that our crew is always willing to help you move large items but it will cut into your project time.

*Your estimate is quoted for five (5) colors and sheens to include; walls, ceilings, doors, and trim paint. If you would like more than five (5) colors and/or sheens in total, each color/sheen will be an additional $75.00.*

Cabinet Painting

Chesapeake Painting Services ask that before your project begins, you clear off your countertops. You do not need to empty your cabinets or drawers unless you have glass cabinet door fronts. When we arrive we will prepare your project by strategically placing drop cloths and plastic to protect your floors, appliances, countertops, and surrounding furniture (if needed). When replacing your hardware, please have it ready by the first day of your project. Customer to provide hardware. *For all projects, we are able to match any paint color you choose. We will need you to provide the paint brand, color name, and code associated.*

Interior Painting

You’re more than welcome to move any and all items to the middle of the room. Certainly, if you are not able to, Chesapeake Painting Services does not mind assisting, however we do ask that you handle all sentimental/irreplaceable and small items as accidents do happen. All wall hangings need to be removed prior to our arrival. We will remove all switch plates prior to painting. Rule of thumb is, whoever removes the items will need to put them back. Please remember that when our crew has to move items it delays the start of the painting. We will make sure to protect your home using drop cloths, and plastic to safeguard floors, appliances, countertops, and surrounding furniture, etc. *For all projects, we are able to match any paint color you choose. We will need you to provide the paint brand, color name, and code associated.*

Exterior Painting and/or Power Washing

Chesapeake Painting Services ask for you to remove any and all loose items and furniture away from your home. This will ensure that our workers have the room to complete your project. We will make sure to protect your home using drop cloths, and plastic to safeguard surrounding areas. IF your home is being power washed, please make sure your outside water spigot is turned on and is accessible. Please make sure all doors, windows, and entryways are securely shut. *For all projects, we are able to match any paint color you choose. We will need you to provide the paint brand, color name, and code associated.*

 

Remodeling Projects

Chesapeake Painting Services when you’re ready to start a remodeling project, it’s important to get your space ready for the transformation by ensuring it’s clean and decluttered. You can start by removing everything from the space—don’t leave anything behind that might be damaged during construction. Having clear pathways will make it easier for the workers during the remodeling process inside and outside of the home. Please be considerate of your pets as we will be as well. Please do not allow them to in the work space during the time. Timeline: please note that this is construction work, we always try to respect your space and timeline but please make your expectations realistic. We can certainly provide you with an estimated timeline up front and then update you throughout your project.
